  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Per , a statue of Bellingham has been unveiled in Birmingham, in a shopfront, and it is made entirely out of food. The piece was commissioned by high street chain Pret-A-Manger, after a nationwide poll to find out Britons' fondest memory of 2024. As a result, the statue commemorates the Real Madrid ace's brilliant last-minute bicycle kick against Slovakia to save England from Euro 2024 elimination.

  The image of Bellingham in mid-flight is a striking one and is made all the more so by the fact it is made up of items from Pret's Christmas food menu, including mince pies and gingerbread.
